Steven is looking for someone with the above qualities to assist him to live the life he
wants by undertaking the below position. This is a supervisory role and supporting staff
will be an important part of your role. This is an exciting opportunity to support, develop
and lead a new team and to make a real difference to someone's life. We offer
specialised training tailored to the person's needs which will also support your
professional development:
Senior Support Worker
30-34 hours per week
Varied shift patterns to include evening weekends and night time support.
What Steven needs you to do
* Support him with personal care, managing money, making new friends and attending social groups within the community
* Assist him to cook, clean and fold the laundry (this in particular is one of his favourite ways to relax)
* Ensure his daily routine is consistently adhered to as he loves routine
* Be a positive clear communicator as Steven loves to be kept informed of how his day looks and his daily routine/activities and support.
What Steven needs you to have
* At least 2 years' experience of supporting people within a social care setting
* Experience of: -assessment, development and implementation of Person Centred Care / Support Plans-using behaviour management strategies-assessing/managing risk
* A full valid driving licence in order to meet the requirement to drive our service cars**.
